Austin Federer - Founder
Austin was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, alongside his five sisters, before moving to Dallas to attend Southern Methodist University—where he met his wife, Taryn. They now live in Dallas with their three children, Cora, Jude, and Joel, and their mini goldendoodle, Hudson.
Austin’s real estate roots run deep: his great-grandfather founded Federer Realty in 1913, and subsequent generations—including Austin’s father, a real estate attorney—followed in the family business. Summers spent helping at his father’s law office and working on his uncles’ properties led him to a career in property tax consulting.
A licensed senior property tax consultant, Austin has devoted his career to ensuring property owners get the fair assessments they deserve. After overseeing billions in assessments and appeals, he founded Hilltop Property Tax to offer transparent, personalized guidance and service to property owners throughout Texas.
Michelle Moreno Noel
Michelle is a licensed Property Tax Consultant at Hilltop Property Tax. Michelle provides a key role in appeal preparation, correspondence with Appraisal Districts, client engagement, and marketing efforts.
Michelle is responsible for performing real estate valuations and property tax due diligence analysis on real estate acquisitions. Her experience includes valuation appeals, appraisal review board hearings, and negotiating with Appraisal Districts.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with family an traveling.

Daniel Davis
Daniel is a licensed Property Tax Consultant at Hilltop Property Tax. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas, alongside his two brothers.
After graduating from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in real estate finance, he joined Hilltop as an analyst where he quickly gained experience in the property tax consulting industry.
During his time at SMU, Daniel pursued hands-on coursework and internships that sharpened his expertise in market analysis, property valuation,
and investment strategies. Outside the office, Daniel enjoys skiing, golfing with friends, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and exploring new travel destinations.
